Job Description:
The Data Processing Manager will play a crucial role in managing the data processing team (3-5 people) and optimizing the data processing workflow within our market research projects. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the collection, cleaning, processing, and organization of datafiles to ensure accurate and timely delivery of insights to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, exceptional organizational and leadership skills, and a passion for driving data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end data processing workflow, from data collection to client delivery, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Develop and implement data processing protocols, standards, and best practices to streamline operations and improve data quality.
- Oversee a multicultural team of remote data processors; providing guidance, training, coaching and support as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams; including client services teams, survey programmers, fieldwork specialists and researchers, to ensure alignment and integration of data processing activities with overall project objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate data processing performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary. (Adherence to timelines, data accuracy, organization and categorization, data visualization…)
- Conduct quality assurance checks on processed data to verify compliance to internal procedures, completeness, and consistency.
- Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies in data processing and market research, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance our capabilities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in data management, data processing, or a similar role, preferably within the market research/online panel industry.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data manipulation, cleansing, and analysis using tools such as Excel, SPSS, SAS, or R.) and best practices for data security.
- Experience managing and leading multicultural teams, with excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with a focus on attention to detail and quality assurance.
